Hello from Key West, went out fri. to shoot some u/w footage for Florida Keys CC w/the Panasonic HVX 200. We did some test shots for color balance. It was a 100 ft viz day!
GO DIVE!

Not much wild life but we saw a nurse shark, beautiful scorpion fish, spotted eel, bunch of divers stirring it up…
It was fun and felt good to get wet. I got the shots they needed and they are happy with the results. I used the lens filter inside the housing on the first dive and no filter for the second, which was really just on the surface. I shot a color chart for u/w w/ a bluer white part for the white balance. When we were at about 20ft. Great idea and what little that I have seen looked great. I white balanced through the filter and then shot the color card. Thank you for external controls. This housing is so stable with last years modification. Added one plate to each side to compensate for the FireStore. Lifting that weight higher makes a difference in rotation stability. Still very smooth, solid rig. I say stable, but I don’t know for sure until I see it in post… so hold your breath.
Water temp is about 75. it is already warming up….
Sunset is calling, Have a Great Day!
